Viva La Lotería MX es un cuerpo de arte fotográfico de alta gama, colección de 54 retratos. La obra consiste en una interpretación actualizada, fresca y elevada de las cartas del clásico juego de la lotería mexicana que literalmente traen el juego a la vida por primera vez en la historia de México en el 2019. La artista regiomontana comparte su perspectiva de un México contemporáneo al humanizar cada una de las 54 cartas del juego de la Lotería Mexicana recreándolas con fotografías de mexicanos y objetos tradicionales de nuestra cultura.
Con esta serie, Andrea abre una ventana artística para revelar muchos de los iconos y artesanías de la cultura mexicana y expone contrastes culturales y cambios sociales, abriendo un diálogo directo entre el pasado, presente y futuro para refrescar y desafiar las nociones tradicionales con su versión moderna e inclusiva.

Como el juego de lotería tradicional está profundamente ligado a la unidad familiar, parte de las ganancias de las entradas a la exposición se donarán para apoyar las necesidades educativas y legales de los inmigrantes separados de sus familias en los EE. UU.
Visual artist Andrea Cueva Rodriguez presents her premiere exhibition La Lotería Viva, the first photographic reinterpretation of the originally illustrated Mexican lotería game. The series consists of 54 images, each representing a card from the lotería game deck evoking strong sense of magical realism. The photographs make up an extraordinary exhibition that embodies the country’s spirit and resurgence in an unprecedented way. As traditional lotería game is deeply tied to family unity, part of the profits from the exhibition entrance tickets will be donated to support educational and legal need of immigrants separated with their family in the U.S.
